In a remarkable endeavor to address the issue of cataract-related visual impairments, an eye camp organized by the Tilganga Institute of Ophthalmology, in coordination with Anand Sangh and Pullahari Monastery, brought a ray of hope to hundreds of individuals in Kathmandu. The three-day surgical camp, held from 8th May to 10th May, provided free cataract surgery to 329 patients, while a total of 5,706 people benefited from cataract screening conducted at 19 different locations, including the Pullahari Monastery camp.

Under the expert care of dedicated medical professionals, 329 individuals with impaired vision due to cataracts had their sight restored through successful surgeries. The eye camp, held in ward no 11 of the Gokarnaneshwor Municipality in Kathmandu, witnessed an overwhelming response from the local community, reflecting the urgent need for accessible eye care services.

The collaborative efforts of the Tilganga Institute of Ophthalmology, Anand Sangh, and Pullahari Monastery made this initiative possible, with a strong focus on enhancing the quality of life for those affected by cataracts. The camp not only addressed the surgical needs of patients but also conducted extensive screenings at various locations, identifying individuals requiring immediate medical attention.
