Turkey, a nation in Europe, will establish an embassy in Kathmandu. Turkey was now operating out of its embassy in Delhi, the Indian capital, and functioning in Nepal as well. The agreement was made over the phone on Friday afternoon, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said, between Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlat Cavusoglu and Indian Foreign Minister Narayan Khadka.

Narayan Khadka, the foreign minister, and Cavusoglu, his colleague, spoke over the phone. According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, “there was a conversation between the counterparts on bilateral interests and the extension of ties,” adding that “the Republic of Turkey has decided to open an embassy in Nepal.”
