KATHMANDU — Veteran actor Madan Krishna Shrestha has been re-admitted to the hospital due to health complications.

According to Madan’s son Eman Shrestha, he was re-admitted to the hospital due to low oxygen levels.

On April 20, all five members of his family, including Madan, were infected with the coronavirus.

Shrestha, who was living in isolation at home after the infection, was admitted to the Nepal Medicity Hospital on Friday.

The doctor had informed that he had an infection in his chest.

After an eight-day hospital stay, his health improved and he returned home on Friday.

After returning from the hospital, Shrestha sent a video message on social media but his son Aman Shrestha told that he was not able to breathe properly after a few days.

According to Aman, Shrestha’s oxygen level had reached around 85. So he was taken to the hospital again.

“It has become easier for him now. Tomorrow Baba’s and our PCR is being done. Then maybe a negative report will come,” he said. “Now he has said that he will return home only after his report is negative”.

According to Aman, Madan has been treated with Remdesivir.

Madan has also been vaccinated with the first phase corona vaccine. The rest of Madan’s family members are also in good health, Aman said.
