KATHMANDU — Nepali winners in the recently held the 1st International Wheelchair Cricket Tournament have been honoured amid a programme in the Capital today.

The programme was organised by the National Disability Research and Development Centre Nepal and the total 45 winners were honoured. Players from Nepal, India and Bangladesh had participated in the tournament at the Tribhuvan University International Cricket Ground.

Speaking at the event, Minister for Youth and Sports Rajendra Kumar KC thanked the winner athletes for making the country known to the world through cricket. He also pledged to support the wheelchair athletes in their future endeavors.

Likewise, Chairperson of the Centre Nilkantha Poudel stressed the need for also incorporating people with disabilities at the policymaking level. RSS
