MUMBAI, INDIA — 23-year-old Indian lawyer Aditya Manubarwala appointed Global Peace Ambassador to India (2018- 2019) by the Centre for Peace Studies Sri Lanka (affiliated to the United Nations)

The award ceremony took place in Sri Lanka on 18th September 2018 at Colombo.

He was awarded the same by renowned world human rights campaigner & Bosnian Peace Ambassador Velma Saric in the presence of Mexico’s Presidential candidate runner-up Maria Tizando.

The Speaker of the Sri Lankan Parliament Mr. Karu Jayasuria called upon Mr. Aditya Manubarwala to discuss the global situation of extremism.

Mr. Aditya also engaged in peacebuilding strategy talks with Afghanistan Charge De Affairs to Sri Lanka His Excellency Munir Ghiasy and Palestinian Ambassador to Sri Lanka His Excellency Dr. Zuhair M.H Dar Zaid.

Aditya is the youngest individual to be bestowed upon with this honor. Socially active individuals and leaders from across 12 countries including USA, UK, Canada, Turkey, Bosnia, Thailand, Romania & Liberia amongst other countries were appointed as well.
