The well-known IT guru has authored the acclaimed technical leadership book “DBA 911! For Database Environments in Crisis. This book has been written for Database Administrators or people that manage Database Administrators in worst-case scenarios and how to fight back in tough circumstances.
While the book has received a lot of acclaim on various social media platforms and more, Chris Hall has been quite open about the books that have influenced him.
“One book that affected me was 7 Habits of Highly Effective People by Stephen R. Covey. I even became inspired to pick up the habits suggested in the book and became more and more dedicated to improving myself as a person. There are quite a few tips that I picked from the book,” says Chris Hall.
Another book that made an impact on him was Love and Profit: The Art of Caring Leadership. Speaking about the same, he shares, “I ascribe to the James Autry style of leadership. In his book “Love and Profit: The Art of Caring Leadership,” he states, “Work can provide the opportunity for spiritual and personal, as well as financial, growth. If it doesn’t, we’re wasting far too much of our lives on it.” This certainly impacted me as a person”
