BANGKOK, THAILAND (Xinhua) — Bhutan’s Queen Mother Dorji Wangmo Wangchuck on Wednesday visited Bangkok’s international school where a dozen Bhutanese children are studying.

Queen Mother Dorji, the mother of Bhutan’s King Jigme Khesar Namgyel Wangchuck, visited the Regent’s International School Bangkok in Wang Thong Lang area and met with the 13 Bhutanese school children there.

 She commented that education has strengthened the relationship between Thailand and Bhutan.

 King Jigme visited Bangkok to attend last October’s cremation ceremony for Thailand’s late monarch Bhumibol Adulyadej.
