Ratnanagar, Chitwan (RSS) — A fire broke out at the Narayani Paper Industry at Lanku of Bharatpur Metropolitan City, Chitwan district this morning.

The fire had broken out at about 3.25 this morning. Hemraj Khanal, a local resident, is the proprietor of the paper industry.

Locals and police brought the inferno under control with the help of a fire engine at 5 am.
The fire is estimated to have destroyed property worth approximately Rs 1.8 million, the District Police Office, Chitwan said. No human casualties have been reported in the incident.

Paper and raw materials at the industry have been gutted by the fire whose cause is not yet ascertained. An investigation is on in this connection, police said.
