The internet has become a  famous hub where we can see all sorts of weird and absurd activities of different people, especially the teens! And the teens of this generation are ready to do anything. From Harlem shakes to rainbow bagels, the teens have taken social media pretty seriously and just for the sake of views and likes, they’re trying out the weirdest challenges; the recent one that has gone viral is “Condom Snorting Challenge.”

Wait, what? You all might be thinking how it’s possible but these crazy teens have tried out the daring challenge, snorting condoms and taking out it from their throat! But why would someone even do that?

Well, for some reasons, the challenging is trending like any other dare games like pouring salts onto each other or holding an ice or rubbing themselves with alcohol and setting oneself on fire.

It has now come up as a dare game where you have to uncoil a condom, stuff it up on your nose (one side), plug in the other nostril and inhale the condom until it reaches your throat. Then you reach back of your throat and pull it from your mouth. Voila! Challenge completed!

As the challenge is going viral, parents and school authorities are getting worried about this unhealthiest practices aside from drug and other problems. Stephen Enriquez, a state education specialist spoke with FOX about these incidents and stated,

“There are all kinds of drugs, and kids are clever, so it’s just really: What are our kids doing? So, that’s what we try to share. Because these days our teens are doing everything for likes, views and subscribers. As graphic as it is, we have to show parents because teens are going online looking for challenges and re-creating them.”

Not only this, several health professionals and doctors have suggested it as the bad idea due to the fact that the latex could get stuck in your nose and throat, leading you to choke. The condom in your throat might accidentally reach down your lungs, causing collapsing of lungs and even death.

Although you manage to complete the challenge, the inhaled condom can potentially damage the sensitive inner lining of your nose and cause an allergic reaction, as stated by Dr. Bruce Y. Lee who is an associate professor of international health at Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health.

The condom snorting follows a recent trend of people eating Tide Pods, (a laundry detergent pod)  and encouraging or daring others to do the same. That stunt, dubbed “The Tide Pod Challenge,” resulted in poison centers reporting 142 incidents just in January, according to the American Association of Poison Control Centers (AAPCC).
