The Nepal Telecommunication Authority (NTA) has announced that the Mobile Device Management System (MDMS) will be fully implemented in Nepal from May 15, 2023. This system aims to effectively manage mobile devices used in Nepal by ensuring their registration and compliance with the government’s regulations.

Under the MDMS system, all mobile devices brought into Nepal will need to be registered with the NTA. This registration can be done online or at any NTA office. Once a mobile device is registered, it will be assigned a unique identification number. This number will be used to track the device and to ensure that it is used in compliance with the law.

The MDMS system is expected to help to reduce the number of smuggled mobile devices in Nepal. It will also help to track lost or stolen mobile devices. Additionally, the system will help to ensure that mobile devices are used in compliance with the law, such as by preventing the use of mobile devices for illegal activities.

The NTA has urged all mobile device in Nepal to register their devices with the MDMS system. The registration process is simple and can be done online or at any NTA office. By registering their devices, mobile device will help to ensure that their devices are used in a legal and compliant manner.
