GAIGHAT, UDAYAPUR — Construction of a bridge that links the district headquarters Gaighat with neighboring Khotang district headquarters Diktel has been completed. The bridge was completed at the total cost of Rs. 61 million.

Following the completion, vehicles have started to run over the bridge in full fledged manner. Started three and a half years ago, the bridge at Triyuga Municipality-10 in the district is 205 meters long and 9.5 meters in width. The Department of Roads funded the project.

The newly constructed bridge is the second longest one along the Gaighat-Diktel Road following the bridge over Sunkoshi river at the border of Udayapur and Khotang. The construction of this bridge is yet to be completed however, said the Gaighat Diktel Road Office. RSS
