KATHMANDU — While visitors wait for their loved ones in the waiting hall, (few) staffs of Norvic hospital were found dumping waste improperly.

The hospital at Lazimpat has done well by placing four colored bins in the waiting hall. Each colored bin comes with detailed information as you can see in the photo. The light blue bin is only for plastic; green bin is only for paper; dark blue is only for bottles; and, the black bin is for bio-degradable waste. While few followed the instruction and threw waste accordingly, others, though educated seemed less bothered.

Meanwhile, a crowd on the ground floor was swarming to get free food, and a visitor walked towards the black bin, spitting his pan-phlegm. The CCTV camera watched the drama silently. The hospital charges high fees, while an attending doctor who’s supposed to come at noon doesn’t show up until two hours later, doesn’t show its commitment to health or environment.
