The first-ever made in Nepal bike – Yatri Motorcycles – has revealed details about its two projects. In an event, Project Zero and Project One were disclosed and told that they are ready to launch in the market.
Although it took more than a year to get unveiled, the company has made good fanbases. Yatri – a startup – has no assembly line and big plant; however, the team has planned to ship a sufficient number of motorcycles as much as possible.
Further, youths from Nepal are anticipated to buy the most-awaited product – Project Zero – in a good number. The electric bike has surprising features and a dazzling appearance – which seems to be a plus for the company.
Yatri – P0 Specs
The P0 has astounding features. It is a heavily powered and gently furnished product. From the perspective of genuine buyers, this might seem crazy because it is a step ahead of fuel engine bikes.

P0 is a café racer-type bike; however, it can travel long-distance also. Furthermore, the bike consists of carbon fiber and steel mix.
Yatri has set the price of Project Zero for Rs. 19,49,000, it is currently available for booking.
Youths Outcry Over The Price
In a Facebook group – MENS ROOM (RELOADED) – youths complain about the product’s price. The motorcycle is becoming a troll all over social media.
Prakash Gautam, trolling Yatri says, “Brothers, is it good to buy this? Also, there is load-shedding in my place.”
A Facebook user, Uh Meh Sh, satirically questions, “Brothers, are they selling the bike or only displaying?”
However, there is a good number of people supporting the company. Kishor Kafle writes, “Personally, I fully support Yatri and companies like Yatri, these start-ups are hard-working and trying to contribute for the betterment of both; country and environment.”
Project One
The cheaper version – P1 – is also available for booking. This is more affordable and comes with fewer features. The company has targeted this electric bike for middle-class riders. Furthermore, this bike’s built quality is also averagely contrasting with Project Zero.

This bike is designed for daily commuting purposes. The design is unique and stylish similar to P0. Unlike the former one, this bike has no capacity for traveling long-distance journeys. Besides, this piece of technology looks like a scrambler.
However, there are no other details about the connection and dashboard. The company has not published other characteristics for P1. Because of this, people are also quite unclear about buying this bike.
Future of Electric Vehicles in Nepal
Yatri is a hope for the future of electric vehicle in Nepal. Instead of buying foreign made e-bikes, Nepali people should promote their own products.
Nowadays, petrol engine motorcycles are a threat to the environment. The small step from this company might create a big impact on nature. Moreover, talking about the price, we should not neglect that this bike is not made in an assembly plant; it is produced manually with the help of human power. So, instead of negatively publicizing, we should see the brighter sides of P0 and P1.
