TVS has launched fully faired sports bike TVS APACHE RR 310s. It is a track oriented bike which has been wind tunnel tested, sharp eye-catching features and premium quality touch. TVS APACHE RR 310s bike is an entry-level sports bike, it has to compete with the likes of the twin-cylinder engine of Yamaha YZF-R3 and the Kawasaki Ninja 300. This bike is more accessible than Kawasaki Ninja and Benelli.While it faces fierce completion of KTM RC 390. The bike is targeted toward young riders who want comfort and speed. Pricing of this bike is reasonable for the features it comes with it. It can even compete with European motorcycles.
Engine
TVS APACHE RR 310s has 313cc single-cylinder engine, producing at 35PS and 27.5Nm. The six-speed transmission, with 41 teeth chain sprockets and the engine uses reverse incline architecture (the cylinder is inclined towards rear and has its air intake towards the front and the exhaust towards the rear).
The engine is designed with an integral crankshaft with one-piece construction and split connecting rod that makes it more compact. Thus, fitted Fuel Injected from Bosch make it crisp and refined fuel supply. The company claims 0-60 Kmph within 2.93 seconds and top speed 160Kmph, the exhaust note is a typical sports bike with a single cylinder. The clutch and gearbox are fine-tuned. The bike can be easily maneuvered in heavy traffic condition, keep in mind it does not sports tourer bike but a street legal sports bikes. In the hands of an experience, rider bike can give a different feel.
Handling
It is fitted with trellis frame attached with aluminum die-cast swing arm, the rear subframe is bolted. TVS motors and KYB has developed 41mm upside down forks and monoshock. The suspension set up has been designed for city and sporting riding. Thus enabling bike for flicking and attacking the corner precisely.
Michelin Pilot street tyres keep the beast planted on the road, a combination of 110/70 at the front and 150/60 tyre at the rare. Braking component consists of petal discs at both ends-a single 300mmdisc at the front with a radial caliper and 240mm disc at the rear.
